Description

RWD Consulting has an immediate opening for a full-time Junior Communications and Operations Analyst to work onsite in Arlington, VA, in support of a federal contract with TSA.  

Communications and Operations Analyst Qualifications:  

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong listening and information dissemination skills. 
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Experience in government contracting a plus. 
  • Government-side project experience a plus. 
  • Bachelors Degree in Communications, English, Media or related field.  Masters a plus. 
  • Basic use and knowledge of SharePoint a plus. 
Communications and Operations Analyst Job Description:
  • Coordinate with OCP front office to identify recommended updates to the strategic plan.
  • Support the update of directorate strategic priorities and goals, support the design of strategies to achieve such priorities and goals and support implementation of executive engagement plans to meet directorate strategic objective efforts.
  • Considerations applied for updating the directorate’s priorities/goals must, at a minimum, include the agency strategic plan, the Administrator’s Intent and potential organizational and agency impediments and challenges.
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations for the OCP’s strategic priorities, goals and corresponding performance measures: may require analysis and facilitation of focus groups to ensure that the plan remains on-track and on target and to assess whether other strategic opportunities or organization objectives are needed.
  • Develop one or more measurable objectives that are written in such a manner as to describe the criteria by which an outcome can be judged complete or successful.
  • Develop reasonable time for completion by which progress will be measured.
  • In data gathering, the contractor shall conduct an objective assessment of internal challenges and the assessment of external challenges.
  • Conduct at least two strategic planning forums each fiscal year that will involve at least a two-day strategic planning “retreat” at a government facility or a facility to be held on consecutive days at an appropriate location suitable for both full group sessions, as well as breakout small group work sessions. The contractor will facilitate discussions that ensure participation by all present in order to stimulate challenging thought processes, and move the group to consensus.
  • Consensus identification of key internal standards creates the moral and practical guidelines of
  • the organization.
  • The planning forums shall result in an update to OCP priorities to maintaining a continuous state of focused priorities/goals of which the OCP leaders will continue to work on achievement.
  • Track progress against measurable goals and provide a bi-weekly update utilizing pictorial diagrams to represent current results against agreed upon priorities/goals.
  • Goals and objectives established during this process will become management tools and must be updated on a continuous basis as priorities change and as specific goals and/or objectives are achieved.
  • Utilize discussion forums such as Town Halls, division meetings, leadership meetings to communicate performance measures and OCP/division/branch progress that assists the organization in continuous notification of their progress toward the agency and OCP priorities/goals.
  • Request to put forth information and update on organizational metrics should be made to the cognizant meeting leader at least 5 days in advance.
  • Support the OCP executives and leaders with agency, department and industry engagement planning and strategies.
  • Assist, as applicable with engagement planning efforts and development of presentations to convey agency and/or intended presenter’s message on multiple topics. It is anticipated that this will include 3-5 engagements in one year.
