Description

Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Department’s ECA/EC/D office performing a variety of duties that help support the Office of Private Sector Exchange Designation
- Guide potential and current EVP sponsors through the designation and re-designation processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop sound recommendations that identify problem areas in the designation and re-designation process.
- Review, assess, and evaluate designated sponsor and sponsor applicant operations to identify unsatisfactory aspects of programs.
- Conduct reviews, studies, and analyses, to determine regulatory compliance or noncompliance of currently designated EVP sponsors during the re-designation process.
- Gather data and conduct research and analysis of current and emerging issues impacting the EVP sponsor designation and re-designation process.
- Represent the office and EVP in meetings, outreach events, and sponsor community conferences.
- Prepare presentations, reports, data collection and compilation of materials in order to present at conferences, site visits and other office engagements.
- Assist in the development of survey designs, evaluation criteria, methodologies, and approaches to be used for investigations and analysis.
- Review and maintain information in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and Case Management System (CMS).
- Conduct analysis of various types of data, including tracking of the locations and program activities of EVP sponsors and participants.
- Prepare recurring data reports and recommend new data reports based on client needs to provide better data for program management.
- Perform a wide variety of research and other programmatic and analytical duties as assigned.

Special Projects:
- Assist the Office Director and Division Chiefs with the development of new initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Timely and precise organizational skills
- Critical and creative thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment
- Proven ability to perform effectively in a flexible, team-oriented environment, to include building and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues
- Proven ability to work with Microsoft office software in order to prepare a broad range of materials
- Skilled in written and oral communications to explain procedures and policies to a variety of personnel
- Ability to provide timely, authoritative, diplomatic and tactful responses to selected inquiries regarding EVP-related issues

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
