Description
Required Qualifications:
- Fluent, both spoken and written, in the English language
- Prior experience working on a facility similar in size and complexity for a minimum of 3 years
- Fully certified in all applicable LEED Gold Standard Requirements and Services
- Skills specific to the facility
- Operational experience
- Understanding and experience of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems, maintenance and repair, and cleaning functions
- Possess and Retain a District of Columbia 1st Class Stationary Engineers License as required by the District
- At least 5 years of recent (within the past 10 years) experience in directing personnel who are responsible for operating and servicing a building of relevant size, type, complexity, and scope within this contract, including documentation that the Chief Engineer has a minimum of three (3) years operating experience with the Facility installed BAS
- Demonstrate capacity to provide positive customer relations and skills
Scheduling Details:
- Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30PM
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Serve as lead technical person for engineering services at the facility and promote the RWD Consulting, LLC corporate image by representing the firm internally and externally. Must be flexible with excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management, colleagues, external clients and vendors; duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide executive direction and oversight of the planning, execution and evaluation of maintenance and building operations, while ensuring consistency, quality, and cost effectiveness
- Evaluate project needs, conduct workload assessments, and develop strategies to leverage and allocate resources
- Serve as single point-of-contact to government contracting officer representative for planning, billing and payment reconciliation
- Lead and improve the overall performance of the Facility to comply with and exceed service levels
- Prepare reports pertaining to Vendors and Subcontractor activities, financial performance, quality control activities, unscheduled service call activities, scheduled PM activities, and critical metrics information
- Direct and supervise day-to-day activities of facility maintenance
- Inspect facility for compliance with project scope-of-work and applicable codes to ensure quality of operational performance
- Provide direction and perform functions necessary to carry successful facilities management services
- Service, repair, test and perform maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and maintenance systems so that all are functionally properly at all times
- Conduct inspections and perform preventive maintenance as necessary to ensure continued operations of building equipment and systems
- Proactively resolve issues and provide recommendations for improvement to increase or enhance performance, efficiency and saving initiatives
- Monitor systems, review alarm reports, respond to failures at a system or panel level that would result in the loss of operation of an entire section of a building or place the facility at a high risk; report failures at an individual level resulting in minimal impact to the overall operation of the facility
