SCOPE: The IT Business Management Analyst facilitates process improvement activities within the Information Technology Department (ITD) organization with the objective of driving operational excellence, efficiency, quality, customer satisfaction, and cost transparency and show back. The individual will capture current-state ITD processes and operations, analyze industry solutions and system offerings, develop and establish an operational structure within the selected system solution, input applicable unit and service costs and data, determine future-state idealizations, and generate models reflecting current and future-state conditions.
This is an IAM Level I position which requires the applicable certifications/accreditation.
This position requires an active or interim Secret clearance prior to the start of employment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration or a related field. Equivalent work or military experience maybe substituted.
- 2+ years’ experience in a technology role.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
- Understanding of a technology organization.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work well in an organization and coordinate across various groups and functional teams.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
Monday thru Friday (0600 – 1800)
SPECIFIC TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement, configure and maintain the Information Technology Business Management (ITBM) tool selected and utilized by WRNMMC to document the organizational service structure and model/track the total and unit cost of all services, assets, resources, and other business units.
- Evaluate and maintain an IT Service Catalog, including attributes and dependencies, ensure that additions, modifications, and withdrawals of current service offerings are properly recorded and disseminated, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Produce and distribute reports of existing assets and resources – including status, workflow dependencies, unit cost breakdown, and compliance. Conduct trend analysis and cost evaluation.
- Assist in the establishment of meaningful and applicable performance metrics throughout the department; assist in the implementation, tracking, monitoring and collection of resultant data.
- Review service metrics that identify the success and failings of the services being offered and utilized by the department, in order to recommend and coordinate implementation of changes to improve metrics.
- Measure the effectiveness of, and recommend pre-and post-implementation strategies for enhancing industry standard IT service quality frameworks required to support the needs of the organization.
- Facilitate standards of process documentation, definition, and education, ensuring coordination of effort and key inputs and outputs of all processes so they are integrated effectively
- Facilitate meetings between departments for inter-related processes to ensure desired process integration and overall consistency and effectiveness across the enterprise.
- Conduct one-on-one interviews and brainstorming sessions with various departmental branches/groups and subject matter experts to create end-to-end process narratives, process flow diagrams, and roles and responsibilities documentation
