RWD Consulting is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist to work out of its corporate office in NW DC. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist to apply their knowledge to an 8a Government Contracting firm experiencing explosive growth. HR Generalist Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Human Resources Generalist or above.
- 2+ years in the government contracting environment with SCA contract experience as an HR professional preferred.
- Must be computer proficient with expertise in Microsoft Office applications, to include Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Experience in general Accounting practices in an office setting preferred.
HR Generalist Job Description:
- Supports the recruiting process through the preparation of employment application package and maintenance of applicant tracking system
- Creates, updates and coordinates candidate pipeline in preparation of interview dates
- Prepares the offer letter package and distributes to candidate with all pre-employment paperwork
- Assists with employee on-boarding through creation of new hire packets, verification & tracking of employment documents and scheduling of orientations
- Maintains all employee records to include personnel files, benefit files and payroll records
- Creates, maintains and updates an employee census for all business entities on a semi-monthly basis and provides ad-hoc census reports as requested
- Creates and maintains company organizational charts
- Coordinates the bi-weekly payroll reporting with the Accounting department to include reconciliation of timesheets and the reporting and updating of all employee changes and activity within pay period
- Maintains the record for all time off requests and updates appropriate calendars
- Assists with employee benefit resolution requests
- Inputs benefit updates and changes into vendor websites and reconciles monthly invoices
- Assists with coordination of benefit information sessions to include new hire benefit enrollment, 401(k) enrollment and open enrollment,
- Interprets, assists and advises employees on Company policies and procedures
- Conducts audits of various payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action
- Assists with processing of terminations through the scheduling of exit interviews and tracking of attrition data
- Conducts all employment verification reports and unemployment reporting
- Supports department Vice-President and Accounting with all special projects
