Required Qualifications:
- Fluent, both spoken and written, in the English language
- Prior experience working on a facility similar in size and complexity for a minimum of 3 years
- Fully certified in all applicable LEED Gold Standard Requirements and Services
- Skills specific to the facility
- Possess experience in directing operations and maintenance of a commercial building for custodial services, supervisory control systems and other characteristics of custodial services to be performed and maintained under this contract
- At least 3 years of recent (within the past 5 years) supervisory experience in directing , operating, maintaining and providing custodial services, managing supervisory control systems and other characteristics of custodial services for a building of relevant size, type, complexity, and scope within this solicitation
Scheduling Details:
- Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30pm
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervises, plans, and directs the activities of the custodial department and custodial staff in the cleaning and operations of all facilities, and initiates changes in the custodial program to improve efficiency and effectiveness of services.
- Establishes methods, procedures, and standards for the performance of custodial work and the stocking and use of supplies.
- Establishes methods, procedures, and standards for the performance related to the use, maintenance, and replacement of custodial equipment.
- Establishes testing procedures, tests, and evaluates supplies and submits written reports to management.
- Assigns and reviews the work of Custodial staff including hiring, training, discipline, and terminations in consultation with supervisor and building administrators.
- Inspects each facility at least once every 90 days to ensure that custodial standards are being met, and provides written reports on each inspection to their supervisor.
- Supervises, plans, and directs activities of the floor care crew, establishes floor maintenance schedules for each facility, and ensures that buffing, sealing, extracting, and other floor care operations are completed properly and as scheduled.
- Coordinates the custodial energy conservation, trash and recycling programs.
- Coordinates custodial/preventive maintenance projects with Maintenance Department.
- Interprets and applies federal, state, and local laws and regulations and district rules, policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to area of responsibility.
- Serves as an expert resource person to other employees, vendors, other districts or government agencies, and the public on issues involving areas of assigned responsibility.
