Required Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance (NACLC)
- Minimum of 2 years in a project management role. BS/MS in a scientific related field of study or equivalent.
- Proven aptitude for project management tools. Project Management Certification a plus.
- Outstanding demonstrated interpersonal skills a must (both written and oral).
- Experience with managing and overseeing subcontractors preferred.
- Ideal candidate will have experience managing financial goals by forecasting requirements, tracking annual
- budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, reporting revenue recognition, preparing technical
- progress reports and communicating financial summaries.
- Proficiency using project management tools to oversee all elements of project lifecycle including scheduling/planning, meeting coordination, tracking of deliverables, reporting to stakeholders and risk mitigation.
- Proven multi-tasking skills to be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously; ability to motivate teams and work within aggressive timelines collaboratively with cross-functional departments.
- Proven and demonstrated computer (PC) and software skills including MS Office Suite programs, Internet, email systems a must. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a strong contributor in a team environment and able to interact with all echelons of management and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supports the Engineering Enablement group in assessing the current portfolio with ability to support strategic business objectives in collaboration with various departments within engineering
- Conduct review and analysis of portfolio financials including actuals to budget/forecast review, project variances, and other ad-hoc financial analysis as required
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to prepare annual capacity utilization plans
- Tracks project performance for multiple projects with respect to scope adherence and capacity utilization
- Capture performance metrics with respect to team productivity, quality and customer satisfaction and share it with senior leadership within engineering group

Responsibilities

- Manages special Information Technology projects sponsored directly by the CIO.
- Leverages technical and leadership ability and unique position to build relationships among subject matter experts across divisions.
- Employs hands-on technical and project management expertise that will free the CIO to act strategically.
- Enables the CIO to be a more effective leader by providing hands-on technical, project management and leadership support to the CIO and the CIO management team.
- Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the CIO’s office and internal Divisions; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior management staff.
- Manages priorities for the CIO, handling issues with composure as well as expeditiously and proactively, and following-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
- Completes a broad variety of tasks for the CIO, to include: lead/support financial lifecycle functions, perform risk management, support acquisition activities, lead as well as support various infrastructure projects, assist with crisis management, and prepare confidential correspondence.
- Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the CIO, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response.
- Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach.
- Works closely and effectively with the CIO to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.
- Strategize with the management team and offers suggestions that will make the organization stronger.
- Provides documentation support to the CIO including developing/maintaining/enforcing standard operating procedures, drafting all outgoing correspondence to include letters, memorandums, and acknowledgement letters and support the development of deliverable and other project documents.
- Effectively communicates the businesses objectives with senior management to drive the business forward.
- Meets regularly with the CIO to provide updates on how the business is performing.
